Joseph French, Jr. died on 6 June 1710 in Salisbury. [1] He married Susanna Stacy.

Susanna, the wife of Joseph, died on 12 February 1687 in Salisbury. [1]

Susanna's mother Elizabeth Stace made a noncupative will and was to be buried in Ipswich. She mentioned her Sons Simon and Thomas and her daughters Sarah Buswell, Susanna French, Mary Meaors and Ann. Witnesses were Simon, Sarah and Anne Stace. The court allowed it and granted administration of Simon Stace on 11 November 1669. [2]

i. Joseph French was born on 16: 1m: 1654 in Salisbury. He married Sarah Eastman.

ii. Elizabeth French was born on 5: 9m: 1655 in Salisbury. [3] She died there on 6: 10m: 1655. [1]

iii. Simon French was born on 24: 8m: 1657 in Salisbury. [3] He might be the Simon who died on 19 April 1732 in Salisbury. [1] He married Johanna Jackman by 1686, when they had a child born in Salisbury. [3][4] She died on 15 May 1704 in Salisbury. [5] Simon is probably the Simon who married Mrs. Abigail Noyes of Newbury on 8 May 1707 in Newbury. [5] Abigail, the widow of Simon, died on 27 January 1746 in Salisbury. [1]

iv. Ann French was born on 10: 1m: 1659 in Salisbury. [3] She married Richard Long on 21: 5m: 1680 in Salisbury. [5] Richard was killed by Indians on the Haverhill-Amesbury Road on 4 September 1694. [6] Ann married second Thomas Mudgett in 1696. [6] She married third Alexander Magoon of Kingston, New Hampshire. [6]

Ann is referred to as a widow on 29 October 1694. [7]

v. Edward French was born on 14: 3m: 1663 in Salisbury. [3] He died there on 8: 4m: 1663. [1]

vi. Sergeant Edward French was born on 6: 2m: 1667 in Salisbury. [3] He died in 1737 in Salisbury. [1] He married Mary Winsley on 1 July 1730 in Salisbury. [5] Mary, the wife of Sergeant Edward French, died on 4 January 1735/6 in Salisbury. [1]

Edward was a sergeant in the militia. [6]
